KCCC-UK (Kenya Communities Chairperson’s Council -UK) has organised a thanksgiving prayers session on 4th September 2021 at 5pm. The organisation which represents the voices of Kenyans living in United Kingdom has brought together men and women of God from many corners of the country to come together and offer prayers to the world, thanking the Almighty God for having taken us through the ravages of Covid-19 and its related problems among other hardships for the last 2 years. There are many things we all want to come before God and thank him for and there is no better time than this day.
This is the day that the Lord has made so that we can as a community and families rejoice and be glad in him. The day will start with prayers led by men and women of God and later culminate into praise and worship dance music where some artists will make live performances accompanied by music played by our local DJs.
We shall together pray for peace and stability in the world, strong world economy, peaceful elections in all parts of the world and in particular our country Kenya, an end to extrajudicial killings, climate change, religious persecution, alcoholism and drugs related issues, mental health, terminal illnesses, strong family ties among other issues. Prayers for our children and college students as they prepare to go back to colleges will also be conducted. The event will be graced by Ambassador Joachim K. Kamere the Deputy Head of Mission and Mr. Isaac Wangunyu from the office of the Deputy Head of Mission.
As an organisation that strives to bring together all Kenyans in the United Kingdom, we feel extremely delighted to invite you to this thanksgiving prayers which is one of its kind.
Psalms 95:1-7 “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture. The flock under his care.”
