APPRECIATION

The Kenya Famine Relief Appeal in Reading committee wishes to thank all those who attended and participated in the recently concluded fundraising which took place on 29th March 2009. We are delighted and grateful for your generous contribution and support that you have shown for those devastated by famine in our beloved country Kenya. We are happy that you decided that doing nothing is not an option and chose to place food in the plates of our brothers and sisters who desperately need your help.

We further wish to invite you all to a ceremony to hand over the famine money to His Excellency Hon. Muchemi, the Kenyan High Commissioner in London on Saturday 23rd May 2009 at 3.00pm .The venue for the ceremony will be Tile Hurst Methodist Church, School Road, Tile Hurst ,Reading RG 31 5AR. During the ceremony we will top up this money. Those you have helped may never know you, they may never see you but they will thank you in their prayers and the Lord who sees in the secret will reward you openly. (Matt 6:4). Lets be the answer to their cries and a ray of hope to the many children who have run away from home and those who have left school and gone to seek refuge in search of food and water.
